Wasl 1 Description

Wasl 1 is a development in Al Kifaf, the district in Bur Dubai that includes Zabeel Park. It is adjacent to Al Jafiliya metro station and is being developed by Wasl Asset Management Group.

The masterplan for Wasl 1 consists of 12 towers comprising residential apartments, offices and retail spaces. The central tower of the development will be shaped like a number ‘1’ which represents the city’s vision of achieving number one status in ‘all aspects’.

Restaurants and cafes will be dotted around the development and there is even talk of a year-round snow fountain!

The development covers an area of 1.3 million square feet and faces Zabeel Park. New landscaping is being designed by renowned architects Martha Swartz Partners.

The developer describes the location of Wasl 1 as ‘as a gateway between Old and New Dubai’, with ‘easy’ pedestrian access to the metro station and ‘direct access’ to Sheikh Zayed Road, Sheikh Rashid Road and Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Road.

In the first half of 2016 work began on the first four residential towers, Park Gate. Two towers will be 27 storeys high and two 21 storeys.
