Jewel of the Creek Description
Jewel of the Creek is a major development under construction by Dubai International Real Estate in Deira on the banks of the Creek adjacent to the Dubai Creek Golf Club and near Dubai International Airport.
It is expected to eventually include 17 high-rise blocks around a marina, including apartment blocks, serviced apartment buildings, hotel towers, a convention centre, a marina, shops and restaurants.
Jewel of the Creek is being developed by Dubai International Real Estate and designed by Kling Consult in a joint venture with another German architect, Kieferle & Partner.
The 124,000square metre site lies between Al Maktoum Bridge and the Floating Bridge where oil rigs were once made.
The scheme involves the construction of seventeen buildings including eight apartment buildings, four serviced apartment buildings and several hotels.
There will also be several hundred water chalets, an event centre, 20 restaurants, a shopping mall, 6,000 car parking spaces, and common facilities such as a sports club and a 70-berth marina.
The main entrance to the development will be via a nine-metre wide tunnel. Up to 6,000 car parks will also feature in the development.
The hotels include a Five-Star and a Four-Star hotel, a Five-Star twin tower Arabian style hotel and a no-frills ‘plug-and-play’ hotel.
The flagship 460-room Roda hotel is scheduled to open in August 2017 as part of Phase 1 together with the four longer stay serviced apartment buildings with a total of 480 suites.
The Three-Star plug-and-play hotel is aimed at guests in their twenties and early thirties and will feature concepts such as self-service, self-check-in, vending machines, and additional amenities which require the deployment of fewer staff. The 400-key hotel also will also have a pool and a gym, but the concept is to attract young, tech-friendly visitors.
