Dubai Creek Tower Facts
Dubai Creek Tower Description
Set to be the 21st Century’s new global icon, Dubai Creek Tower soars up from the heart of Dubai Creek Harbour into the clouds above. Designed by the renowned neo-futuristic Spanish architect, Santiago Calatrava, this gravity-defying structure is inspired by the lily flower and traditional Arabian minarets. A product of great vision, innovation and construction excellence it will add to Dubai’s significant skyline and elevate the city’s position as a world-leading metropolis of the future.
In addition to its revolutionary design and record-breaking attributes, Dubai Creek Tower will feature several enthralling observation decks featuring the highest elevated garden and 360° views of Dubai Creek Harbour and the metropolis beyond. The superstructure overlooks the Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary and is directly linked to Dubai Square, one of the world’s most vibrant retail districts.
The building will be primarily architectural although there will be 20 usable floors at the top contained in an oval-shaped bud which will house 10 observation decks, a hotel, restaurants, a function room and an indoor garden. At night the bud will act as a light beacon and the lighting system will depict the features of a flower.
The steel cables that anchor the tower will be some of the longest ever used in a construction project. The observation deck will offer unobstructed panoramic views of Dubai and will feature rotating platforms which take guests outside.
