Dubai – How will future look like?

Everyone in Dubai is excited for the Expo 2020. It is expected to be grand. It has changed the shape of projects in almost all sectors be it transportation, aviation, hospitality as well as real estate. The future of living in Dubai indeed looks promising with several new projects coming up in different locations. We’ll talk about some of these projects in greater detail.

Waterfront Living

There are many waterfront areas in Dubai like Jumeirah Lake Towers, Dubai Marina, Jumeirah Beach Residence, the world-famous destination of Palm Jumeirah and many more. All of these sites are being developed to include the best facilities available. They will offer a variety of options ranging from affordable to ultra-luxurious homes. This will address both your renting as well as investing needs.

Sustainable Projects in Dubai

Sustainability is the need of the hour. Dubai has the vision to become the most sustainable city in the world and is well on its way to do that. The sustainable city is Dubai will be the first net-zero energy community in Dubai. The phase l is already in place and phase 2 is expected to be operational by 2020. Dubai has also announced additional projects like The Desert Rose, a 14000-hectare smart city, is expected to have 20000 plots for the Emiratis.

Greener Projects in Dubai

Traditionally the developers utilized every square inch of land for construction. But there is growing awareness that greener neighbourhoods go a long way. Damac with its projects like Akoya Oxygen, dubbed as the “First green luxury residential address” has made a promise to provide energy efficient homes. It includes facilities like a golf course, yoga enclave, a 5-star hotel, an organic market and a luxury spa.

Upcoming Neighbourhoods

The city is expanding in all directions which leads to newer neighbourhoods coming up in different corners of the city. Mohammed bin Rashid City is a Dhs30 billion, 47million sq. ft. community that will be located between the Sheikh Zayed Road, Mohammed bin Rashid Road and Al Khail Road. There are several projects that are part of it such as Dubai Creek Harbour, a luxury residential community and many more. Jumeirah Village Circle and Studio City are also one of the fastest growing neighbourhoods in the city.

Branded Residences

Well, branding can’t be kept out of real estate. Dubai maybe aiming for greener sustainable homes, its still known for it’s designer, flashy, luxury homes. People can indulge in projects like The Trump Estates which is the result of a high profile partnership between Damac and Donald Trump. The Bulgari Resort, home to the Middle East’s first Bulgari Residences, is located at Jumeirah Bay Islands. The project is designed by famed Italian architecture firm Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel and Partners.
